Ir Zainal Ariffin Bin Osman. aged 55 is a Professional Engineer cum Entrepreneur and has over 30 years of experience ranging from all aspect of building industry i.e. property development, property management, project management, engineering consultancy and construction management. Besides building industry he has also experience on franchising and landscaping.
Upon graduation, he started his career in Penang as Site Engineer involved in the construction of roadworks and infrastructural works. Ir. Zainal then left for more challenging construction of North-South Expressway when he joined MMC-GTM Bina Sama Sdn Bhd ie a joint-venture between a French company and local public listed company based in Sungai Petani, Kedah.
After 3 years of site experience, Ir. Zainal moved on to design works when he was recruited by Ranhill Bersekutu Sdn Bhd as Civil Engineer in Kuala Lumpur. He was then exposed to civil engineering design, master planning, project management and contract administration. Due to his capabilities and professionalism, he was promoted to Senior Engineer, Project Manager and later made Associates in less than 6 years with Ranhill.
Ir. Zainal was then transferred to Ranhill's Penang Branch as General Manager and headed the entire branch operation. He inspired and spearheaded the branch and finally doubled up the business and strength in less than 2 years. As part of his business expansion plan, he initiated and finalized a joint-venture between Ranhill and one of the biggest local developer to embark into total project management services apart from the consulting engineers and he was later appointed as Chief Executive Officer of this JV company.
Due to his entrepreneurial ambition, Ir. Zainal left Ranhill at the end of 1997 and was offered considerable shares and the post of Chief Executive Officer with Kota Francais (M) Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur. He started a new career in franchising with Kota Francais pioneering franchise application to the management of properties. As a franchisor, he set up a team and developed a complete franchise packages for the management of shopping complexes.
In January 2000, Ir. Zainal joined Cypark Sdn Bhd as General Manager responsible for the development of another new interesting project or concept namely landscape maintenance franchise services. He initiated the idea of franchise application to the landscape maintenance and created sales & marketing strategy through privatization. Within 6 months he materialized his concept into implementation and subsequently promoted to Senior General Manager.
After 3 years in franchising experience and due to his interest in property development, Ir. Zainal joined Darulaman Realty Sdn Bhd as General Manager in September 2000 and based in Kedah. He has inspired and improved the business of Darulaman Realty Sdn Bhd and achieved a record high and best ever financial performance since inception in terms of turnover and profit before tax in the year 2005. He was then promoted to Senior General Manager and also responsible for another subsidiary company Darulaman Golf Resort Bhd ie a property management company.
In June 2006 ie after 6 successful years in property development and management, Ir.Zainal then joined ZASYAZ Corporation Sdn Bhd as Group Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer. Ir Zainal iniatied a corporate planning exercise by developing the group business plan till 2020 with ZASYAZ Corporation Sdn Bhd as investment holding for the ZASYAZ Group of Companies. He then set-up ZASYAZ Consulting Sdn Bhd (Project Management Consultant), ZASYAZ Engineers Sdn Bhd (Consulting Engineers), ZASYAZ Production Sdn Bhd (Production House), ZASYAZ Enterprise (Retailing & Debt Collection).
Since then, Zasyaz Group of Companies has been expanded to include ZASYAZ Production Sdn Bhd (Production House) and ZASYAZ Farm Sdn Bhd (Livestock Farming). In future ZASYAZ Group of Companies shall be expanded to include ZASYAZ Properties Sdn Bhd (Property Development & Management), ZASYAZ Builders Sdn Bhd (Construction) and ZASYAZ Landscape Sdn Bhd (Landscaping). Ir Zainal strongly believes with his vast experience and leadership quality coupled with clear direction, ZASYAZ Group of Companies would be able to achieve it’s vision in the year 2020.
In early 2016, Ir. Zainal with his colleagues from student days has set up a cooperative known as Koperasi Lepasan Asasi Sains Berhad (KLAS). KLAS was duly incorporated and registered with Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia (SKM) in June 2016 and Ir. Zainal has been appointed as Chairman of KLAS. Few potential businesses have been identified for KLAS to embark on short,medium and long term. With potential business, prudent financial management and strategic marketing, Ir Zainal is confident that KLAS will be successful and achieve its objective, mission and vision.
Pn. Sarimah Bt Mohd Ali aged 49 is a Confidential Secretary by profession turn entrepreneur and has approximately 25 years of experience ranging from building industry, food & beverages, production house and legal consultancy.
Upon graduation with Diploma in Secretarial Science, she started her career with legal firm in Kuala Lumpur for 2 years as Confidential Secretary to the Managing Partner. Her experience involved assisting in all conveyancing and litigation works.
Later in the year 1992, she joined Food & Beverages company as Personal Assistant to the Managing Director. She was then exposed to food & beverages and building industry for about 2 years. Her scope also involved management and marketing of F&B outlet name Kasih Kafe & Catering.
Pn Sarimah then left the company in 1994 to join a Production House ie Produksi Seni 2020 Sdn Bhd. Being a Personal Assistant to the Executive Director of the company she was directly involved in all aspects of the production industry for 2 years such as producing telemovies, films and other TV program.
In 1996 she had to quit working and followed her husband to Penang. During this period she started to develop her entrepreneurial ambition by involvement in multi-level marketing and attending courses on entrepreneurship and skill development.
Pn Sarimah then set-up her own business with ZASYAZ Enterprise as sole – proprietor in year the 2004. Later in the same year 2004, she started ZASYAZ Corporation Sdn Bhd as Executive Director involved in the property investment & investment holding businesses. She also sits on the Board of all ZASYAZ Group of Companies since 2006.
